Mazal Tov to Burt and Revital Freedman on the birth of their son last Shabbos. The bris was held on Shabbos Ekev (August 12, 2006) at Young Israel of Brookline.

Rabbi Avinoam DuraniIt is with great pride and joy that we welcome Rabbi Avinoam Durani and his family back from Israel.  Avinoam recently received smicha (rabbinic ordination) in Israel from both former Chief Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu and Rabbi Dr. Razon Arusi, a leading Yeminite rabbi.  Chazak u'varuch!  This week's kiddush is sponsored in celebration of Avinoam's achievement.
